Overview
The MGH/BWH/DFCI Joint Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program provides comprehensive training in hematology and medical oncology at two world-class Harvard Medical School-affiliated institutions: Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The program trains academic physician-scientists who will become leaders in cancer research, clinical care, and education.
Requirements
Completed internal medicine residency. ERAS application. Contact program for specific application timeline and requirements.
Curriculum
Clinical rotations in hematologic malignancies, solid tumors, bone marrow transplantation, and hematology consultations across MGH and DFCI. Outpatient oncology clinics in disease-specific programs. Inpatient oncology services. Exposure to the full spectrum of cancer care from diagnosis through treatment and survivorship.
Research Experience
Extensive research opportunities in basic, translational, and clinical cancer research at MGH Cancer Center and DFCI. NIH-funded training grants available. Research mentorship from world-renowned investigators in cancer biology, immunology, genomics, and clinical trials.
