BWH Dermatology/ Rheumatology Fellowship

The Dermatology-Rheumatology Fellowship aims to train academic dermatologists to become leaders in the diagnosis and management of connective tissue diseases and other complex inflammatory disorders. This program offers comprehensive multidisciplinary clinical and research opportunities to develop expertise in clinical evaluation, systemic therapeutics, and collaborative dermatology-rheumatology care.

Overview

The fellow will develop expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of connective tissue diseases, including cutaneous lupus, dermatomyositis, scleroderma, psoriasis, and vasculitis. The program will include the full spectrum of clinical management, from learning unique physical exam skills to aid in clinical diagnosis to gaining familiarity with systemic therapeutics. A multi-disciplinary approach will be utilized, and the fellow will work closely with both dermatologists and rheumatologists. The fellow’s career development will be a primary goal of the year-long fellowship. Opportunities for clinical and translational research as well as dedicated elective time will also be available to the fellow.
