BWH Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship
Overview
The Brigham and Women's Hospital Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship is a three-year, ACGME-accredited program. Trainees benefit from a high-volume clinical environment that integrates specialists from the experts from a top-ranked hospital. Our mission is to develop compassionate, highly skilled physicians who excel in surgical gynecologic oncology, medical oncology, and translational research.
Requirements
Applicants must have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Evaluation is based on academic record, clinical performance, and potential for leadership in the field.
Curriculum
The clinical years (Years 2-3) focus on inpatient and outpatient services, gaining mastery in complex surgical procedures, including traditional laparoscopy and robotic-assisted surgery. Training includes extensive experience in chemotherapy management and palliative care.
Research Experience
The first year is dedicated entirely to research. Fellows work with faculty mentors to design and implement a thesis project, which can be laboratory-based (basic/translational science) or non-laboratory-based (epidemiology or outcomes research).
How to Apply
All applications must be submitted through ERAS. A complete application includes a personal statement, medical school transcripts, USMLE/COMLEX scores, and three letters of recommendation. Please email CREOG scores directly to the fellowship coordinator. The deadline for all application materials including the completed application, curriculum vitae, personal statement, official medical school transcript, USMLE scores, (CREOG scores will be accepted if you do not have USMLE scores), and three letters of recommendation is Monday, April 6, 2026. Invitations will go out on Monday, May 11, 2026, and our interview date is Friday, July 10, 2026.
