Overview
The Surgical Pathology Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital offers in-depth training and opportunities for clinicopathological and translational research. This is a non-ACGME fellowship under the Mass General Brigham Education Committee. Starting July 2027, combined Mass General Brigham surgical pathology fellowships will be offered at MGH and BWH with ACGME accreditation.
Requirements
Completed AP or AP/CP residency. Massachusetts medical license eligibility. H-1B visa eligibility for international graduates. USMLE Steps 1, 2, 3 required.
Curriculum
Weekly multidisciplinary conferences: Gynecology, Head & Neck, Sarcoma, Musculoskeletal Radiology, Renal, GI, GU, Thoracic, and Breast. Fellows present at weekly Clinicopathologic Conferences published in the New England Journal of Medicine as the Case Records of the Massachusetts General Hospital. Harvard CME courses in Surgical Pathology, Cytopathology, Dermatopathology, and GI Pathology.
Research Experience
Abstract presentation expected. Clinical and translational research opportunities.
