Complex Gender and Microvascular Surgery Fellowship
Overview
The Complex Gender and Microvascular Surgery fellowship delivers complete training in all core gender affirming procedures including facial feminization, phalloplasty, metoidioplasty, vaginoplasty, and non-gender microsurgical urogenital reconstruction.
Requirements
Applicants must have completed a plastic surgery residency.
Curriculum
Training follows an apprenticeship model, with the Program Director taking an active role in 1:1 training, with additional ample opportunity to work closely with faculty across the MGB Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Department of Urology - allowing trainees to explore areas of particular interest.
Research Experience
The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery maintains a robust research portfolio and encourages active participation of all trainees within their areas of interest.
MGB is a home site for GENDER-Q, the first fully comprehensive and validated patient-reported outcome metric for gender care. Accordingly, a broad range of emerging research opportunities and collaborations are available to study and improve GAS patient care.
