Microsurgery and Breast Reconstruction Fellowship
Overview
The Microsurgery and Breast Reconstruction Fellowship program offers a high volume of experience in all areas of reconstructive breast surgery and microsurgery. While breast microsurgery is the primary training focus, there are opportunities to participate in other areas of clinical interest, research, and teaching.
Requirements
Applicants must have completed a plastic surgery residency.
Curriculum
Training follows a sequential apprenticeship model, with the fellow working in two-month blocks with a small number of attending faculty. This approach allows the fellow to develop in-depth relationships with individual surgeons. Additional opportunities to participate with faculty across the MGB Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery will allow trainees to explore areas of particular interest.
Research Experience
The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery maintains a robust research portfolio and encourages active participation of all trainees within their areas of interest.
How to Apply
We participate in the Microsurgery Match through the San Francisco Match for Microsurgery. Please reference the sfmatch website for the current match process and applicable dates.
