Overview
This National Institutes of Health-supported research fellowship is sponsored jointly by the Departments of Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard Medical School. The fellowship supports positions in one of three to four different research tracks.
Requirements
- Current or recently graduated residents in accredited U.S. or Canadian surgical training programs
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required
- Applications from members of under-represented minorities strongly encouraged

Research Experience
Fellows work with faculty preceptors/mentors across all four participating institutions. The program provides intensive mentored research training in alimentary tract surgery.
