Overview

Mass General Program Overview

The Harvard Urologic Surgery Residency Program at Mass General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital provides exposure to all aspects of adult, pediatric, and investigative urology. The program selects four residents per year through the American Urologic Association residency match. The 5-year program starts with a PGY-1 year that includes 6 months in the Department of Surgery and 6 months in urology.

The Mass General Brigham Department of Urology is dedicated to resident education, mentoring, and training. Residents work in a preceptorship model, rotating on each service for three months with the same attending in both clinic and operating room settings. Training sites include MGH, Newton-Wellesley Hospital, and Boston Children’s Hospital.
