Overview

Dr. Austen’s laboratory focuses on translational research in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The emphasis is on moving novel concepts in the field from the bench top to the bedside through device development. Currently, the three primary areas of interest include 1) Autologous fat transplantation 2) Skin aging 3) Photochemical tissue therapy.
