Overview

The Carruthers Lab develops innovative treatment strategies to improve outcomes for patients undergoing all forms of breast surgery. Our research focuses on developing new approaches to treat lymphedema, sensory loss, and other challenges faced by mastectomy patients, with the overarching goal of restoring function and improving quality of life.

Open Positions

MD and MD/PhD candidates interested in a research fellowship in the Carruthers Research Laboratory are welcome to apply.

Accepted candidates will obtain an appointment as a Research Fellow in Surgery at Mass General through the Division of Plastic Surgery (Department of Surgery) and Harvard Medical School. Candidates should send an updated CV to khcarruthers@mgh.harvard.edu.
