Family Planning Research

Mass General Brigham’s Family Planning research investigators study sexual and reproductive healthcare including contraception, abortion, miscarriage care, population health and health policy to improve access, quality, and outcomes for diverse patient communities.

Overview

Research in the Division of Family Planning at Mass General Brigham advances evidence-based contraception, abortion, and miscarriage care through clinical, public health, and health services research. Investigators study clinical interventions, medication regimens, and care delivery models while examining how health systems and public policies affect quality, and equitable access to reproductive health services. This work integrates patient-centered research, national surveys, and implementation science to improve reproductive autonomy, clinical outcomes, inform policy, and train future leaders in family planning.
