Overview
The Perrella and Liu laboratory focuses on the regulation and biology of genes that modulation inflammation in systemic disease processes, as well as the therapeutic potential of stem and progenitor cells for critical illnesses such as sepsis, lung injury, and heart failure. The ultimate goal of the laboratory is to develop innovative cell-based therapies for the treatment of sepsis and cardiopulmonary diseases for patients of all ages, from premature infants to adults.
