Overview
Multiple teams in Research Management provide centralized support to MGB’s research community through the agreement lifecycle, including:
- Pre-Award
- Contracts
- Post-Award
- Research Finance
RM Contracts is responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating and executing research agreements with external entities on behalf of MGB member institutions, including:
- Funded research agreements from non-profit, government, and industry entities
- Data Use Agreements (DUAs), Research Collaboration Agreements, Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs) and Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs)
Only authorized signatories—a Mass General Brigham designated official in RM or a Senior Vice President of research for the applicable hospital—have the authority to execute research agreements on behalf of the hospitals. Principals Investigators are not authorized as institutional signing officials.
